Kanda Fruit Process Company-KFPC has established a Lab with setting up of Hi-Tech food, water & soil testing laboratory which includes testing of pesticides, microbial, chemical, organoleptic, heavy metal, aflatoxin, nutritional parameters from the food products, and agricultural products.

The lab will offer paid service for all food operating businesses, the services will include commodities-based testing (e.g. water testing, marine food products testing, animal food and feed testing, and chemical testing, general testing (e.g. moisture, total ash, acid insoluble ash, water soluble / insoluble ash alkalinity of ash, acidity, total soluble solids, total volatile extracts), microbiological tastings (total plate count/aerobic plate count, total coliform count, yeast & mould count, e. coli, salmonella spp., shigella spp., staphylococcus aureus, vibrio cholera, clostridium botulinum, listeria monocytogenes, pseudomonas spp.), and nutritional evaluations (e.g. fat, protein, sugar, crude fiber, dietary fiber, carbohydrates,calories, fatty acid (MUFA, PUFA), cholesterols, amino acid compositions, vitamins, minerals).

The Lab will also analyze food additives & contaminants (e.g., color, antioxidants, preservatives, artificial, sweeteners, pesticide residue analysis, heavy metals, aflatoxin/mycotoxin analysis, drug & antibiotic, residues, food adulterants), and agriculture solutions along with the food testing for agricultural products like soil, fruits, vegetables and products thereof.
